kubuntu by the crateload
i received 2,160 kubuntu cd's yesterday. looks like i'm the new north american kubuntu warehouse. and given that kubuntu releases every 6 months, these CDs have a limited shelf life. looks we'll be swimming in CD's at north american events this year! =) big thanks to riddell, canonical and the (k)ubuntu project.

Hi Aaron. So, this is going to be odd... I have a strange memory and am excellent with names. Suddenly, as I'm sitting here at work, minding my own business, a name I knew from a BBS I was on over a decade ago (Hawaii OnLine) pops into my head. Yours. Why I found you, I don't know. But I just thought I'd say hello.
Aaron, bring a bunch to SCALE; we're actively promoting Linux to the local PC Clubs, and kubuntu is ideal for it!

@orv: i was planning on bringing a few hundred with me already =)
@austin: dude!! amazing you found me. i'm in hawaii tomorrow for a week. please come check us out at TPOSSCON (http://tposscon.com) if you can. otherwise, get a hold of me by email: aseigo at kde dot org
I can't wait to get my CDs...
Hey cool. How did you get these? I ask because shipit doesn't normally provide Kubuntu CDs, at least not when I last checked.
Either way, we demand photos!
@Pascal: i had asked for some CDs for shows in north america and Canonical sent them out when they did the run of CDs for kubuntu 5.10. i'll be bringing them to shows and likely shipping them to shows that i'm not at.
I'm running Kubuntu on this desktop and it's suweet :)
I am looking forward to it having the same desktop polish as Ubuntu though, which Shuttleworth has promised for the next release. Currently it lacks an automatic updater, and I haven't seen a clear KDE replacement for network manager yet, although I remember someone mentioning one on planetsuse.org.
